Dr. Jie Mei (梅杰)
Profile:
Jie Mei was born in Hubei Province, China, in 1986. He received the B.S. degree in information and computing science from Jilin University, Changchun, China, in 2007 and the Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from Harbin Institute Technology, Harbin, China, under the supervision of Prof. Guangfu Ma, in Dec. 2011. From Oct. 2009 to Apr. 2011, he was an joint Ph.D student supported by China Scholarship Council with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Utah State University under the supervision of Prof. Wei Ren. From 2012 to 2015, he held postdoctoral research positions with the School of Mechanical Engineering & Automation, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China under the supervision of Prof. Bing Li, the Department of Electrical Engineering at City Univeristy of Hong Kong under the supervision of Prof. Jie Chen, and the Department of Electrical Engineering at University of California, Riversied, under the supervision of Prof. Wei Ren. Since June 2015, he has been with the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His current research interests include coordination of distributed multi-agent systems and its applications on modular spacecraft and unmanned vehicles.
